KNX actuators
Smart control made easy
KNX actuators, available as White Label OEM products from Insta, are key components in modern building systems, enabling the intelligent control and automation of various electrical devices and systems. They act as an interface between the control level and the connected loads, such as lighting, blinds, heating or ventilation.
By using KNX actuators from Insta, buildings can be made more efficient, comfortable and energy-efficient. Thanks to their flexibility and compatibility, KNX actuators can be seamlessly integrated into existing or new smart home and building automation systems. They are a key component of intelligent control and ensure that the home or office can be tailored entirely to individual needs.
Applications of KNX actuators
1. Lighting control
KNX lighting actuators enable the control of lamps and lights. They can integrate both smart and conventional lights into the automation process:
- KNX dimming actuators: Adjust the brightness of a lamp and create different lighting atmospheres.
- KNX switching actuators: Switch lamps or circuits on and off.
- Scene control: Using pre-programmed scenarios, KNX dimming actuators and KNX switching actuators can control several lamps synchronously.
2. Heating and climate control
KNX heating actuators are specialised devices designed to control a building’s heating system. They receive control commands from the building automation system and use these to regulate radiator valves or other heating systems. This allows them to adjust the temperature in different rooms precisely and individually, contributing to a comfortable indoor climate and efficient energy use. With KNX heating actuators, the heating can be automatically adapted to the daily routine, occupancy or external weather data to optimally combine comfort and energy efficiency.
3. Roller shutter and blind control
KNX blind actuators control motorised roller shutters, awnings or blinds:
- Time-based control: Automatic opening and closing at set times.
- Sun position control: Adjustment of position depending on the angle of sunlight.
