Magnetic is the wireless switching solution for renovations, modernizations, and retrofits. The rocker switch communicates with the in-wall module via a magnet, without any electrical or mechanical connection between the two components.
This provides flexibility during installation and allows compatible switch designs to continue to be used.
Magnetic switching explained simply
The magnet is located in the rocker switch, while the sensors and electronics are housed in the flush-mount module. When the switch is actuated, the position of the magnet changes. The sensor detects this change without physical contact and processes the switching signal.
- No electrical connection between the rocker switch and the insert

Fewer terminals. More space in the box.
Magnetic reduces the number of terminals required from the usual four or five to three. This simplifies wiring and frees up space, especially in shallow in-wall boxes or densely populated existing installations.
Installation consists of two separate steps:
Wire the in-wall module and place it in the box
Then install the rocker switch
Installation benefits:

- Fewer sources of error during installation
For variants with a five-terminal form factor, loop-through of the supply voltage may also be possible. This reduces the wiring effort in suitable installations.
Continue using the existing design
Magnetic modernizes the technology behind the switch without unnecessarily altering its visible design. The magnet is integrated into the rocker; the flush-mount module handles the sensors, electronics, and switching function.
This makes Magnetic suitable for applications where existing switch lines are to be retained.
