The SIEGENIA GROUP is one of the world's leading manufacturers of window and door fittings as well as ventilation and building technology. Insta developed a gateway for SIEGENIA that integrates the manufacturer's SI-BUS-capable devices into the KNX environment. Thus, motorized drives for windows and entrance doors communicate directly on the digital bus. This ensures both control and status feedback via the KNX system and straightforward KNX integration through the ETS configuration software. From now on, windows and entrance doors can be seamlessly integrated into automation scenarios with various devices and functions, with minimal effort. For instance, they can be set to automatically lock the front door at nightfall or to create coming- and leaving-home scenarios. Ideal for energy-saving night cooling during hot summer months are scenarios that automatically open and close windows. The compact design of the gateway allows for both concealed flush-mounted installation and mounting on a DIN rail.

A particular challenge in the project was the small installation space due to the DIN rail mounting. Insta mastered this challenge effortlessly by using an adapter.
